Malaysia’s Support for Palestinians Lauded
Sheikh Ali Umar Yaqoub Abbasi expressed his appreciation to the government and people of Malaysia for their unwavering prayers and continued humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people, both in Gaza and in Al-Quds.
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the appreciation was personally conveyed to him by Sheikh Ali Umar during a meeting on Monday.
He said that during the meeting, both sides shared views and agreed on the importance of safeguarding the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque as well as the future of Al-Quds.
“I also shared the initiatives undertaken by the (Kuala Lumpur) Government to continue supporting efforts to safeguard and liberate Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“May Allah SWT continue to bless our efforts as we stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Palestine in opposing the terrorism of the Zionist regime of Israel,” he said in a Facebook post.
Also present at the meeting was Malaysian Minister of Religious Affairs Zulkifli Hassan.
